Case Analysis of Dreaming of a Nanny

Dream Description: I dreamed of a nanny who had been dead for more than twenty years. In a small room, she had a gray bag, like one used to hold rice, covering her head and upper body. She was hopping around (the movements weren't very big). I walked over and helped her remove the bag from her head. We sat together, and I talked to her (I don't remember what I said, and it seemed like I didn't say much). She didn't speak, just nodded or smiled, and then I woke up.

Explanation: 1. She was a patient with a stroke and speech impairment.

  2. My siblings and I were taken care of by her from the age of two months until we started school at seven. During the day, our parents would take us to her house or she would come to our house to take us, and in the evening, our parents would bring us home around 5-6 PM. She and her husband (who had no children) treated us very well, like their own grandchildren. During the time she passed away, my father was hospitalized, so we didn't visit her for a whole month (she was in a nursing home, and transportation was very inconvenient twenty-seven years ago, so we usually visited her once every half month, each time bringing some soup, fruit, and some braised meat; it was quite difficult to buy meat at that time as it required ration tickets). Suddenly, within a few days, my siblings and I all dreamt of her dying, and we hurried to see her, but she was already gone. The nursing home didn't inform us (though they had our phone number), and we couldn't even get her ashes (thinking about this always makes my heart ache a bit).

Please help me interpret this dream, thank you!

Dream Interpretation: This dream represents your longing for the nanny. Over the years, your relationship has actually surpassed that of a nanny and employer; spiritually, you have already regarded each other as family.
